Jodi Martin is a labour lawyer with significant experience in human rights and appellate advocacy. She assists union and institutional clients with judicial review applications and appeals, and she co-leads the firm’s workplace investigations team.
Jodi has acted as counsel to various trade unions and police associations at grievance and interest arbitrations, mediations, and before the Human Rights Tribunal and Labour Relations Board. Her investigative skills were central to her role as co-counsel in the Motherisk Hair Analysis Independent Review. She regularly provides pro bono counsel through the Wellspring Cancer Support Network.

- Co-counsel to the Waterloo Regional Police Association in Rivers v. Waterloo Regional Police Services Board et al (2019 ONCA 267).
- Acted as counsel to various trade unions and police associations at grievance and interest arbitrations, mediations, and before the Human Rights Tribunal and Labour Relations Board, including: OPP v. - Co-counsel to the Information and Privacy Commissioner in Ontario (Children’s Lawyer) v. Ontario (Information and Privacy Commissioner) (2018 ONCA 559), and Hopkins v. Kay (2015 ONCA 112).
- Acted as counsel and co-counsel on a number of judicial review applications including MacKay v. Thomas (2018 ONSC 2935); Sault Ste. Marie Police Services Board v. Sault Ste. Marie Police Services Association, and Unimac-United Management Corp. v. St. Clare’s-Monaco Place (2015 ONSC 4760).
- Acted for interveners in a number of important municipal election matters including City of Toronto et al. v. Ontario (Attorney General) (2018 ONSC 5151), and Cusimano v. Toronto (2011 ONSC 7271)
