Waleska Vernon

As Paliare Roland’s Director, Professional Recruitment & Development, Waleska Vernon is responsible for developing and managing the firm’s recruitment, professional development and mentoring programs, as well as the administration of the evaluation process. She oversees the summer and articling student recruitment process and manages associate recruitment, onboarding and integration. Waleska also contributes to diversity and inclusion initiatives as they relate to recruitment, retention and advancement. With a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology (M.Ed.) and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Waleska worked previously for large full-service law firms in New York and Toronto as well as in post-secondary educational settings.

Most recently, Waleska was a Career Development Counsellor at a well-known university where she supported JD students with all aspects of career development.
